~ About Amy ~

Amy K. Pix (she/her) is an early career sound designer and composer working mainly in theatre. Her design credits include My Dad: The Woman, The Myth, The Legend (Greedy Pig, South-West tour); Space Oddity (Theatre Royal Bath Theatre School, the egg) and Sherlock Holmes and a Christmas Mystery (Black Hound Productions, Cheltenham Everyman). Her work is characterised by being highly detailed and well-pitched, using a combination of original music, naturalistic and processed sound effects and layered textures. Amy is interested in sonic dramaturgy and sound as storytelling; aiming to add layers to narratives through her dramaturgical sound design.

She is a first year BA Sound Arts: Design student at London College of Communication, UAL. She recently graduated from Bath Theatre Academy with a Distinction, which trained her in becoming a theatre-maker; where she specialised in sound design and undertook numerous sound design opportunities including being Associate Sound Designer on 'Animal Farm' and 'The Crucible', and sound designer on ‘Shakeslam’ at The Ustinov Studio and an R&D sharing of ‘I,Joan’.
